How we handle your photos

You're trusting us with photos of your child and your pet. Here is exactly what happens to them.

Why we use them

When you upload a photo of a child or a pet, we use it only to create your personalized portrait and to print the product you order. We do not sell your photos, use them for advertising, or share them with anyone except the service providers below.

Who can upload

Photos must be uploaded by a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or older. By uploading a photo of a child, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have their permission.

No face recognition

We do not use face recognition, and we do not create or store face measurements, "faceprints" or any other biometric identifiers from your photos.

Service providers

Your photos are stored and processed on Cloudflare's cloud platform. To create your portrait, your photo is sent securely to an image-generation provider (Google, OpenAI or BytePlus) that processes it on our behalf. Printing is handled by our US print partner, who receives the finished artwork and the shipping details needed to deliver your order — never your original photos.

How long we keep them

Uploaded photos and previews are deleted automatically 30 days after upload. If you place an order, we keep only the finished print file — not your original photos — for 90 days, so we can reprint it if anything goes wrong in delivery. Then it is deleted too. We do not keep backups of your photos.

Who can see them

Your original photos are never public. Only watermarked previews can be viewed by link. A member of our team, who may be located outside the United States, looks at your portrait once before printing to check its quality.
